Can I add placeholder users in Shotgun I haven't hired yet, but not send them welcome emails?"

I would like to hear if it is possible to prevent sending a “Welcome Letter” when adding new people.
The thing is, that we would like to use “People” as our contact list, and whenever we find new artists, we don’t necessarily want to hire them, but would like to add them for a potential later use.

Yes indeed! When creating the user be sure to set the initial status for that user to “disabled”.

Shotgun will only send welcome emails to active users, so with status set to disable , these “potential” users won’t get the email.
