, community! It’s already Forum Friday time again? Feb was fast—good thing we’ve got that extra leap day in our back pockets.
I’m switching things up this month by highlighting some handy forum functionality that you may not know about: tags!
What’s so great about tags?
- When you make a new topic, you can apply and create tags in the compose window that help make your post easier to discover by others
- You can see all the tags on the forum here. It’s almost like a site map.
- If you’re new to or looking to up your game, check out the #getting-started, #tutorial, and #tips tags. (I’m a big fan of the resource kit topic as it’s a great launchpad to a bunch of additional learning content.)
- #announcement is also another popular tag. Topics with this tag contain important information about . (Psst! Are you aware of the upcoming deprecation of older API versions, direct to S3 uploads, or the deprecation of Screening Room for RV in Qt 4.x versions of RV?)
The most useful part of tags is that you can setup notifications on them, so you always get a heads up about the things you care about.
To tune notifications on a tag, click the upper right icon on a tag result page (like #announcement) and select your preferred notification setting:
As always, thanks to everyone over the past month for their questions and contributions to the community!
