Make sg_cut_duration a calculate field

Hi,

is is possible to make sg_cut_duration on a shot a calculated field? For us it should always be cut_out - cut_in + 1, so it’s kind of weird of updating it manually all the time. Of course we could create a custom field and use that, but since there is already a field in place …

On a side node, what is smart_cut_duration for? I can see it in the fields page, but it shares the same field name as sg_cut_duration.

Hey Nico,

That’s a great idea! I’d recommend submitting it to the product team so they can take it into account when they work more on Cut support.

Smart cut fields were an initial foray into automatically calculating cut fields, but didn’t quite hit the mark. They should be off by default on all sites, but they’re still around if users were still using them.
