Task Note

Hi there, I need a description field on a task level, like task note or task description? How can I create such field? It seems like I only have options for query

Welcome to the community and thanks for posting!

Actually there is a description field on Tasks entity as you can see below. It’s a text field for you to add comments/notes/directions to a task.

Is that what you are looking for? If not, what kind of description field are you looking for? What you would like to do with this field?

Hi Ben, thanks for the quick reply. This is exactly the field I’m looking for but it seems like it’s hidden or not available in my Shotgun setup (please see screengrab of the fields drop down menu)

Thanks for getting back. Which permission role you are on? Is it possible that the field is hidden from you?

Could you check fields permission on the Permission-people page if you are the admin and ensure you are allowed to see that field? If not, please reach out to your site admin and see if the proper permission is set.
